I am an Assistant Professor of Marketing at HEC Paris and, since 2021, a Chairholder at the Hi! PARIS Center on Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence for Science, Business and Society. Nearly five years in industry preceded my return to academia at Goethe University Frankfurt in 2015.

My research sits at the intersection of quantitative marketing, economics, and information systems. I study online advertising, privacy, and the digital economy, drawing on large-scale field experiments and quasi-experimental methods for causal inference. Much of it is done together with industry partners, which lets me answer research questions at scale.

This work is published or forthcoming in the American Economic Review, the Journal of Economic Literature, the Journal of Marketing Research, and the International Journal of Research in Marketing, and has been covered by The Economist, Harvard Business Review, and Forbes.

I have been a visiting scholar at the Wharton School and Stanford GSB, was named an ISMS Early-Career Scholar in 2022, received the IJRM Best Paper Award in 2024, and am an investigator on a European Research Council (ERC) Advanced Grant studying online tracking restrictions, running from 2019 to 2026.

In Paris, I co-organize the Paris Digital Economics Conference and the Paris Digitization Day.
